In this example, we will map a subdomain via Hostinger.

1. Ensure the subdomain is not connected to any website.

For Hostinger, you can verify this on the Websites page.

2. Add DNS Record (if needed)

Add a DNS record to point the subdomain to the IP address of the website where the WP Landing Kit plugin is installed.

To find this IP address, enter the domain at dnschecker.org.

In this example, a DNS record is not needed because the domain cotistefan.site already points to the IP where the plugin is installed. As a result, its subdomain, shop.cotistefan.site, automatically points to the same IP address by default.

If you need to add a DNS record, use the following format:

Type: A
Name: @
Value: IP_of_destination_website
TTL: default or 1800

3. Add an alias for the mapped domain.

To create an alias in Hostinger, navigate to the Parked Domains section and add the subdomain you want to map.

4. In the WP Landing Kit plugin, add a new domain entry.

Case A - mapping a page

Add the subdomain in the plugin to map it to the desired posts, page, product, or custom post type. Make sure to save the changes to apply the mapping correctly.

In this example, we mapped a subdomain a single product instead of the entire shop.

By enabling the option Map internal WooCommerce pages, purchasing the product will be possible on the mapped domain, as the cart and checkout pages will be mapped automatically.
